GRAD was established in 2017 as a result of cumulative training experience by APPRO, particularly since 2016 when APPRO began offering cross-certified master’s level courses in partnership with Ghent University (Belgium). With the increase in the number of cross-certified courses and a new partnership with Ruhr University Bochum, the management of APPRO decided to consolidate its training activities under Center for Good Governance, Gender Analysis, Applied Social Research, Public Administration, and Development (GRAD).
GRAD was established as a result of a partnership between BARLAS Center of Business Management [www.Barlas.edu.af] and Afghanistan Public Policy Research Organization (APPRO) [www.appro.edu.af], to offer social science, humanities, and operational management courses in Afghanistan in accordance with international academic and professional standards.
APPRO has partnership agreements for delivering cross-certified, master’s level courses in Afghanistan with Ghent University, Belgium, [www.ugent.be] and Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, [www.ruhr-uni-bochum.de]
